Trust the care of your pet to our pawsome and friendly doggy day care service!

We run a specialist doggy day care centre in Mansfield, run by a family-oriented team with experience in dog agility training, obedience training, and dog boarding. We're also dog lovers with adorable and energetic bundles of fun of our own and we'd love to take care of your dogs for you while you get on with your day.

Our centre is purpose built with two large units, including room for large and medium dogs and a puppy area, and your dogs are sure to have the time of their lives enjoying our play equipment, ball pool, dog beds and rest area, and even our sofas - for those allowed on them. We also have a fantastic outdoor space that's fully fenced off with artificial grass so your dog can run around as much as they please in their time outside.

We have a smaller room for assessments to ensure your dog will enjoy themselves with all the other dogs in our centre, and an isolation room to take care of any dogs that get sick.

We're sure we've covered everything to give your dog a great time until they get to go home with you, and our aims are to make sure your pooch is safe and well cared for, and gets all the time they need to play, rest and run free.

We’re delighted to reveal that we have been given the maximum star rating we can currently be awarded by the DEFRA licensing authorities of Mansfield District Council, of 4 stars! We have left no stone unturned to ensure we have done everything to ensure our centre excels in all areas so that you and your dog are getting the absolute best service. Once we have been open for 3 years or more, we will then be eligible to possibly receive a 5 star rating which we are confident of achieving.

Nathan Doggy Day Care 1
Emma Doggy Day Care 1

Owners - Nathan and Emma

For many years it has been Nathan and Emma’s absolute dream to work with and care for dogs. By putting together Nathan’s business background and Emma’s experience in dog training, the Mansfield Doggy Day Care Centre was born. The pair spent just shy of 2 years searching Mansfield and surrounding areas extensively to find that perfect location and premises, with the centre opening its doors for the first time in February 2020. From day one it has been their mission to provide a unique and exciting new service to the area where quality of care is the absolute priority, whilst also boosting the local economy by providing jobs for local people in a fantastic industry. Dogs have been a vital part of Emmas life growing up as she enjoyed high levels of both participating and leading agility sessions, a hobby which she continued alongside her studies to become a staff nurse. Emma then spent over 5 years working hard  for our national health service however always had the desire to follow her dreams to work with dogs, she consequently completed the level 3 in dog day care and boarding and is currently training towards becoming a certified Pro Dog Trainer.

Cathy Doggy day care 1

General Manager - Cathy

Cathy has much experience having previously ran her own successful home based dog boarding and day care business, which she eventually had to give up following the birth of her daughter, however it has always been her ambition to return to the job that she loves and has especially always had a passion to bring a centre based doggy day care to the area. Since being a little girl, Cathy has always had a real love for all animals especially dogs. During her later childhood years, she was often out on dog walks in her spare time, whether it be voluntary or simply for a pound, and also spent time in her teens working at a pet shop, before then going on to gain valuable knowledge and experience whilst working at K9 magazine. This eventually lead her into starting up her own dog walking and boarding business where she focused on reward based training and was able to help many dogs with social anxiety, recall, toilet training and much more.

Doggy Day Care Assistant - Janet

Janet not only has worked wonders with her own dogs but also has a very impressive list of canine related qualifications which she puts in to very good practice at the centre. With specific expertise in canine behaviours, a level 3 in animal care related qualification in small animal hydrotherapy, as well as being a fully certified Absolute Dogs Pro Dog Trainer. Using her knowledge and via the power of positive reinforcement training techniques, Janet has been able to produce fantastic results both on a personal level with her dog Pip who faces her own complex medical and social challenges, as well as supporting dogs at our centre, proving that we are so much more than just a day care.

Doggy Day Care Assistant - Betty

Betty, who is originally from California, USA, grew up in a large family surrounded by animals such as dogs, cats, birds, goats and fish. From a young age, Betty not only has had a love for animals but she’s always had the inner passion to care for then too which lead her to dedicate her life working in the profession. From a schoolgirl, Betty was trusted enough to volunteer at local animal-rescues and shelters, where her roles were to keep everyone clean, watered, fed, exercised and happy. After graduating from high school, Betty pursued a career in the veterinary field, training at college to become a veterinary technician in the state of California, where she gained expertise in medicine, behaviour and massage therapy, and spent many years in the profession before moving to Mansfield to start her new life with her Husband and then shortly after became a valuable member of the Mansfield Doggy Day Care team.

Doggy Day Care Assistant - Amy

Amy has also had a great passion for caring for animals from a young age, growing up with all kinds of different pets, however it was in her teens where Amy found her real desire to work with animals as a career after her enjoyment and success in training her dogs to participate in fun activities such as flyball. Amy soon went on to Nottingham Trent University, at the Brackenhurst Farm Campus, studying a BSc in Zoo Biology, with a focus on the conservation of large canids and felids. In addition to this, Amy attended several seminars by leading professionals and experts in the carnivore sector, covering a diverse range of topics from Siberian wolf packs through to the less dramatic, but arguably more important, aggression in domestic dogs.
Amy’s degree covered important topics, such as rehabilitation, mental stimulation, disease, anatomy, nutrition, legislation, and behaviour, which is great knowledge which can be applied to support dogs attending daycare. In addition to Amy’s studies, she has also completed additional training in animal nutrition, specialising in Raw Feeding for canines as well as a variety of CPD courses covering canine law, nutrition, first-aid, canine behaviour and psychology. This is along with hands on experience provided at Nottingham Trent University’s farm along as well as time spent working at White Post Farm, all of which ensures that doggy day care dogs are in the best hands with Amy and the rest of the Mansfield Doggy Day Care Team.
